The ANMA & NASeA joint convention has been held for the past 13 years very successfully. This joint convention has brought several diaspora members together and resulted in several charities projects here in the USA as well in our home country, Nepal.
In order to promote Nepalese culture, the joint convention brings several musicians and performers during the convention.To that end, the most recent convention in Charlotte, North Carolina brought several performers.
During the convention one of the performer reported one incident against one of the organizing committee members. Due to the nature of the allegation, the organizing committee immediately informed law enforcement. After the investigation, it was concluded by the local police that it is not a criminal matter. This issue is only between the two parties.
It should be noted that the organizing committee being the responsible community organization informed the law enforcement agencies who are better in investigating such matters.
